Facilities
The village hall is a new, purpose built community building opened in Septembe2009. The construction is single storey brick with a tiled roof. The premises consist of an entrance foyer with all other rooms off the foyer. To the left are toilets (disabled, ladies, gentlemen), ahead are the office and kitchen and to the right is the main hall. There is a large walk in cupboard at the back of the hall where tables, chairs and cleaning equipment is stored. The building is heated by a combination gas boiler. Solar panels were installed in 2012.
Facilities include:
a hall (approx. 15.5m X 7.5m) with a sprung wood floor, ideal for dancing and indoor recreation
wheelchair access (wide doors, flat entrance)
a very efficient heating system
modern fitted kitchen with all the necessary equipment you would expect to find in a village hall setting, including a fridge, small freezer and microwave
8 large tables (5' X 2') (152 X 61 CMS.)
15 small tables (3' x 2') (91 X 61 CMS.)
car park for the use of hall users
Jubilee garden for quiet moments
patio to the south which can be accessed from the hall
enclosed hard court area to the west beyond the DCC play area
